Healthy Snack Balls (look like rum balls)
A delicious protein-packed snack, great for kids or for the adult as a treat or morning/afternoon tea.
Makes approx 20 balls
4 fresh pitted dates
1 cup of mixed nuts and seeds, (sunflower, sesame, walnuts, almonds, brazil, cashews, pumpkin seeds).
1 tablespoon sultanas
1 tspn organic pure cocoa powder
Juice of 1 orange
¾ cup dessicated coconut.
Put all ingredients except coconut into a blender and blend to a smooth paste. Roll into small balls and coat in coconut. Store in airtight container in the fridge and eat within 5 days.
Can be frozen,carob powder can be used and add some tahini, instead of so much juice.
